Local-e 'e-Mapping' project Winner of 'Environment and Community' category Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards 2004The Local-e e-Mapping project won an award in the "'Environment and Community" category at the inaugural Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards on 25 November 2004. A joint effort between the NSW Local Government and Shires Association (LGSA), Social Change Online and Sinclair Knight Mertz, this project is the first of its kind to provide Web Map publishing capabilities to more than 50 local councils in regional and rural NSW. |

Yass Shire web site wins Communication Award Excellence in Communications - Councils with population less than 30,000 NSW Local Government Awards 2003The web site was developed as part of a massive SCO-designed roll-out of web sites for 110 Councils around NSW. That project was for the NSW Local Government and Shires Associations Local-e project, funded by the Commonwealth Government's Networking the Nation program.
